Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself and tell you about my practice. I had many years of private practice experience before joining Kaiser Permanente as an internal medicine physician specializing in care for adult and senior members. I feel very fortunate to work in an environment with many wonderful colleagues who all work together toward a common goal, which is to provide the best possible care for all our members. I welcome you to the Kaiser Permanente family and look forward to working with you.
I grew up in a middle-class family in the San Gabriel Valley area and went through the UC system for my undergraduate and graduate studies. I started as a computer engineer at UCLA and decided to pursue a career in medicine after I obtained my master’s degree from UC Berkeley. One of the main reasons I made a career change was my realization that helping people directly is much more satisfying than making even faster machines in an already fast-paced world. Although the transition was not easy, I came through believing that anything is possible with ones best effort. Now that I have two young children, I never forget to remind them to do their best and reach for the sky in whatever they choose to do. I strive for happiness in life and work, and I believe that laughter is the best medicine.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
In my current practice I specialize in palliative and geriatric care. I see mostly members over 65, some of whom reside in nursing homes. I also do some home visits for members on our hospice and palliative care service. Our geriatric team helps maximize the daily functioning of senior members and supports and educates families who give care to their older loved ones. Our palliative care team champions quality of life and ensures minimal sufferings in all aspects of life for our members in need.
Cómo vivo bien
I believe in relaxing one’s mind and body to achieve a balance in life. I enjoy trips with my family to various national parks, as well as regular outdoor exercise, such as biking and tennis. I try to separate work and pleasure as much as I can and always try to find time and space for myself to reflect on life’s blessings.
