Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to introduce myself, and tell you a bit about my practice.
At UC Irvine, I earned a degree in biology and minored in music. I attended medical school at Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, and did my internship and residency in nephrology at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. I remained at the Los Angeles Medical Center following my training, and I'm currently the assistant director of the fellowship program. I'm also an associate professor of clinical medicine at UCLA School of Medicine. I'm involved in teaching internal medicine and nephrology to medical students, interns, residents, and nephrology fellows.
My practice is quite varied. I take care of a lot of patients who have chronic kidney disease. I have many patients who are on dialysis, and I treat many kidney transplant patients. I believe in empowering my patients and making them an active part of their own health care. This way, the doctor and the patient form a team and can take care of medical problems together. I consider myself to be very approachable, I believe this is quite important because people need to feel at ease with their doctor. Regular exercise is critical to maintaining a healthy life balance.
To maintain my own health, I exercise at least four to five times a week. My exercise consists of running, indoor biking and weight training as well as P90X, P90x2 and T25 exercise programs. I also enjoy yoga. I try to eat healthy foods and prepare meals with organic ingredients whenever possible. I have always enjoyed computers and video games, and I'm a huge Mac fan. I truly love learning new things about technology and computers. My other great passion is baroque period classical music.
