Welcome to my Web page.
I completed my residency in internal medicine in Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center in 2009, and started working in Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center immediately afterwards. A new position at the Fontana Medical Center opened up, and I decided to take advantage of the new opportunity and am excited about the new change.
My goal is preventive care and to use only the most essential medications to maximize my patient's health. I try my best to follow the Hippocratic Oath to practice ethically and minimize harm to my patients. As such I feel strongly against prescribing medications such as narcotics and benzodiazepines. There is mounting evidence from the FDA and other agencies showing that the risks of these classes of medications outweigh the benefits. Other ways I try to maximize my patient's health is by reinforcing the foundation of diet and exercise. Multiple studies show that with proper weight targets and eating the right foods, there is a decreased incidence of diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol, and cancer risk. Smoking cessation is also critical to everyone's health as smoking is one of the leading preventable causes of disease. Regular medical follow up is also very important. I typically recommend follow-up with me at least once per year as well as follow up with any specialist you see at least once per year as well.
I enjoy spending time with those who are close to me and sharing great experiences with them. I like to explore different restaurants, take walks, and enjoy the simple things life has to offer.
