Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself and tell you about my practice. Even though most of the time I do not see you face to face, as I work behind the scenes, I do communicate closely with your physician.
I came to the United States in 1990 and began doing neuroscience research at UCLA. I subsequently completed my residency and fellowship training at UCLA Medical Center. I find it a great privilege to be a physician, entrusted with people’s health. I have been practicing at Kaiser Permanente since 2001.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
Working at Kaiser Permanente offers the advantage of being in a large group practice, and I especially appreciate the quality of service. I am always keenly aware that our members are waiting for the results of recent biopsy or surgical procedures, and I approach each case with respect and care. Pathology offers me a way to be helpful to others and apply a discerning and critical eye in evaluating specimens. I never forget that the sample I test belongs to a real person surrounded by concerned family and friends. In my work, I have a chance to examine a wide variety of specimens, and I share challenging cases with my colleagues. I received subspecialty training and board certification in cytopathology, which is a branch of pathology that studies disease on the cellular level. I have a special interest and expertise in fine needle aspiration, which is a diagnostic procedure for retrieving cell samples from just under the skin. I’m currently the chief of pathology and also the director of the clinical laboratory.
Cómo vivo bien
I enjoy spending time with my three boys and my husband, who is a research professor at UCLA Medical Center. I take a brisk, 30-minute walk every day.
