Acerca de mí
I would like to welcome you to my Web page, and take this opportunity to introduce myself. It is a privilege to work at Kaiser Permanente with talented colleagues to offer my patients the very best medical care. I want to help all our patients to discover their own ways to thrive, and accompany them on the road to good health.
I was born in Southern California, and have lived here most of my life. I received a bachelor's degree in psychobiology at UCLA, and attended medical school at St. Louis University. I returned to California for my pediatrics residency at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, and then joined Kaiser Permanente.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
The field of pediatrics is a celebration of the milestones of childhood and healing illness. My first experience in pediatrics was in medical school, when I revived a newborn baby that was blue and limp. I wanted to be a pediatrician from that moment on. My patients range from newborns to 17 year-olds. I have a special interest in asthma. I currently serve on the State Board of the American Lung Association, and am also a volunteer at the Air Quality Management District on the Environmental Justice Committee that addresses air quality disparities in low-income areas. I have an interest in Culturally Responsive Care, and enjoy giving lectures on various topics of healthcare, both in the community and at Kaiser Permanente. The highest honor is to be trusted with a family's most precious asset – their children, and I take that responsibility very seriously.
Cómo vivo bien
I believe very deeply that life is a gift to be enjoyed to the fullest. Like everyone else, I strive to find balance between family life, work life, and wellness. My favorite moments are spent with my lovely wife and three daughters. I love to travel with my family, and I also have a great passion for nature. I love all activities that involve the ocean, whether hiking along the coastline with my wife, fishing, boating, snorkeling, or just looking out over the water. For me, thriving is about caring for the people that you love, caring about your personal wellbeing, and protecting the beautiful world that we call our home.
