Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at the Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center because of my wonderful coworkers and members. I look forward to meeting with you and hope to help you care for your health.
My family and I emigrated from Taiwan to the United States when I was 5 years old. We settled in New York City, and I received all my education there. After my gastroenterology fellowship training in Long Island, New York, another trainee from California told me how wonderful it was here and convinced me to move out west. I truly enjoy living in California, and have no regrets about coming here. After working 10 years at another managed care medical group in Orange County, I decided to join Kaiser Permanente in Riverside in 1998.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
The reason for choosing to work with a managed care organization such as Kaiser Permanente is that I have the freedom to order the tests and drugs that my members truly need. My main joy now is performing endoscopic procedures for which I’ve been trained. Kaiser Permanente has provided a great endoscopy lab for us to work in. My philosophy regarding member care is simple—treat members as I would treat someone from my own family. I’ve stepped down from my administrative roles to help educate the next generation of new doctors. Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center is one of the main sites used by UC Riverside School of Medicine, and their internal medicine residency program. So don't be surprised if you see a young doctor with me when you visit the office.
Cómo vivo bien
Needless to say, being a doctor whose job it is to diagnosis cancer is very stressful. I do need to unwind by taking vacations. I enjoy foreign travels and meeting people from other cultures. I enjoy music for relaxation, and also sing in my church choir.
