2024 holiday closures and hours

Most Kaiser Permanente Northwest medical, dental, and administrative offices will be closed on holidays. Closures can include primary care, lab, radiology, and pharmacy services. Our hospitals, urgent care, and emergency departments are open on holidays.

  • New Year's holiday — Monday, Jan. 1
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day — Monday, Jan. 15
  • Memorial Day — Monday, May 27
  • Independence Day — Thursday, July 4
  • Labor Day — Monday, Sept. 2
  • Thanksgiving — Thursday, Nov. 28
  • Christmas Day — Wednesday, Dec. 25

You still have many ways for getting the care that you need. See convenient ways to get care, including 24/7 phone or video visits with a doctor.

If you think you are experiencing an emergency medical condition, call 911, or if time and safety permit, go to the nearest emergency room.

For many nonurgent care needs, members can get care by using a virtual care option – including:

  • E-visit: With e-visits, complete an online questionnaire and receive a treatment plan and prescriptions, if needed. Reply from a clinician: within a few hours. Start e-visit
  • Get care now with a clinician: Talk to a clinician 24/7 over video or phone for quality care when you need it - no appointment needed. Learn more about getting care now.
  • Call 24/7 advice: Talk with a registered nurse day or night for advice, referrals, prescription information, and more. Call us at 1-800-813-2000 (TTY: 711).

Call volumes and wait times may be longer than normal at our Advice and Appointment line – 1-800-813-2000 (TTY: 711).

For faster service, you can get care advice, change, or schedule appointments 24 hours a day by logging onto kp.org or the Kaiser Permanente app. If you do not have a kp.org account, you can register at kp.org/registernow.
