About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about myself and my work at Kaiser Permanente.
Biography
I am a native Southern Californian and grew up in the Los Angeles area. After high school, I moved north to the Bay Area to attend Stanford University, where I received my undergraduate and medical degrees. While in medical school, I became interested in ophthalmology after conducting research on factors that keep the retina attached to the eye. I moved to Boston to do my residency and then worked there for almost 10 years before returning to Southern California.
About my practice
I practice comprehensive ophthalmology, which means that I see patients with a wide range of eye problems. One of the most rewarding parts of being an ophthalmologist is helping to restore vision in patients with eye disease. A good example is cataract surgery. Our department performs thousands of cataract surgeries annually, and it is extremely gratifying to help these patients see well again.
How I thrive
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I coached little league baseball last year and am looking forward to the upcoming season.
