About Me

My name is Dr. David Schub, and I am a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. I specialize in sports medicine and have been a partner in the Kaiser Permanente San Diego Orthopedics department since 2014.

Biography

Originally born and raised in Connecticut, I am thrilled that my career has taken me across the country to live in San Diego. I completed medical school at Case Western Reserve University in Pomona, a surgical orthopedic residency at the Cleveland Clinic, and a fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at Santa Monica Orthopedic Group in Santa Monica, California.

Throughout my education, I have been fortunate to work with world-renowned experts and have been trained in the most advanced and state-of-the-art techniques. I've also had the opportunity to take care of athletes of all levels and abilities - from professionals to weekend warriors.

About my practice

I operate under the philosophy that everyone should be treated with the same level of care and attention a professional athlete would receive. Alongside my dedicated treatment team, we are committed to providing comprehensive support aimed at restoring members to the active, pain-free lifestyle they deserve. I consider myself fortunate to be living out my dream job as an orthopedic surgeon, and I am continually inspired by the remarkable individuals I have the privilege to work with at Kaiser Permanente every day.

How I thrive

As someone who embraces the weekend warrior spirit, I understand firsthand the significance of sports and exercise in a fulfilling lifestyle. For me, balance is key - I strive to excel in my role as a physician while also enjoying life's pleasures. Prioritizing quality time with loved ones, staying connected with friends, and maintaining an active lifestyle are key to my personal happiness. I firmly believe that this not only enriches my own life but also enhances my ability to provide dedicated care to members every single day.
