About Me

Welcome to my page! My name is Dr. Jose Anaya, and I’m excited to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente family in West Los Angeles.

Biography

I’m a hospitalist—the doctor who cares for you when you’re hospitalized. I grew up in a small farming town in Arizona called Yuma, and pursued my undergraduate education at the University of Arizona—go Cats! I then moved to Sacramento, where I completed my internal medicine training at UC Davis Medical Center. I now make West Los Angeles my home, and have no plans to return to the 120-degree heat of Arizona.

About my practice

I’m a hospitalist, which means I only work in the hospital and take care of members when they need to be admitted. I work with multiple other doctors, nurses, case managers, and social workers to care for you and get you back home safely. I believe that, in order for someone to be healthy, they must not only be physically strong, but also spiritually and emotionally.

How I thrive

I’m very fortunate to have a caring, wonderfully supportive wife and family who challenge me to stay active, eat more vegetables, and allow myself to be open the challenges I face every day. My well-being is tied directly to my spirituality and I aspire to be my best self with each member I get the privilege to treat.
