About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to tell you a few things about myself and my pediatrics practice at the Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center.
Biography
I was born in New York City and raised in different towns on the East Coast. I made my way west, gradually, stopping in New Mexico for 10 years, where I attended medical school. I came to Southern California to complete my pediatrics residency at Harbor-UCLA in Torrance, and stayed for the weather, mountains, and diversity. Medicine is a second career for me, one of the best decisions I have ever made.
About my practice
My goal in each visit is that every parent leaves knowing they were listened to, that every child or teen feels a little more comfortable coming to the doctor, and that we all learn something we didn't know before. You will often find me working in the evenings in the pediatric clinic because I know that not everyone's work and school schedules can fit in a daytime appointment. I feel fortunate to work alongside other pediatricians with a similar patient-centered philosophy.
How I thrive
I stay active. I always have physical goals, such as a mountain I want to climb, or bike ride I want to pursue. I make things. My family and friends get homemade gifts for birthdays and holidays. I learn. There is stack of books and magazines on my coffee table, about history, politics, cooking, and bicycles, to name a few.
