About Me
Greetings and welcome to my Web page. Hopefully we’ll never meet, as I’m an emergency medicine physician; but if we do, here’s some information about me.
Biography
I am a third-generation Southern Californian, raised in Orange County and now calling wonderful San Diego home. Prior to medicine, my undergraduate studies in English literature garnered me two years teaching high school English in the Peace Corps in Ethiopia. I then returned to the United States to become a physician. I earned my medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh and completed four years of emergency medicine residency at UC San Diego Medical Center. I am board certified in emergency medicine. Kaiser Permanente was my first choice for employment and I hope to take care of members here for years to come.
About my practice
Coming to the emergency department is not always an intense, long, challenging experience, but it can be. I see patients at the extremes of physical, emotional, and mental states, as well as patients who sometimes have simple, straightforward problems and are feeling very well. I strive to treat all my patients, no matter what their problem, with sincerity, kindness, and care. I try to provide them with ample time to discuss their problems and concerns and to understand the scope of their stay. I’ll do my best to care for you.
How I thrive
My family, friends, colleagues, and beautiful San Diego keep my life balanced.
