About Me

I was born and raised on a farm in Nevada. I completed medical school in Reno, Nevada, and residency training in San Francisco, California. I worked as a hospitalist in a rural mountain hospital in Northern California before moving to Denver to work for Colorado Permanente Medical Group. I cannot imagine a more rewarding profession or a better place to practice medicine.

About my practice

I chose hospital medicine because I enjoy the high acuity and the ability to quickly confirm or reject diagnoses, implement treatment, and see results in a short period of time. I consider it a privilege and honor to help patients navigate their illness during hospitalization. I like to learn as much as I can about my patients, especially their concerns and fears, so that I can help alleviate their fears and make the hospital a less scary place. I work as a team with specialists, pharmacists and others to coordinate my patients’ care.

How I thrive

I like to spend time with my family and golden retriever, travel, explore new foods, and swim.
