About Me

Hi! My name is Julie Hwang, and I am an optometrist at Kaiser Permanente’s Woodland Hills Medical Center. I've been working for Kaiser Permanente since 2004.I live in the San Fernando Valley with my husband and our 2 young boys.

Biography

After moving from South Korea when I was 4 years old, my family settled in the San Fernando Valley. After attending UC Berkeley and receiving my optometry degree from Indiana University (go Hoosiers!), I returned to Southern California and starting working at Kaiser Permanente.

About my practice

Vision is such an important aspect of our overall health—poor vision can alter our mood and even our outlook on life. Because I am a lifetime user of eyeglasses and contact lenses, ensuring that members get high-quality eye care is my first priority.

How I thrive

I enjoy hiking and cycling with my family. Our favorite travel destinations are the national parks.
