About Me
A visit to the Emergency Department can be a very anxiety-provoking experience. It is my hope that getting to know one of the emergency physicians ahead of time will ease any potential fears about your visit.
Biography
I have come full circle as a Kaiser Permanente patient and physician. I was born at a Kaiser Permanente hospital in the Los Angeles area and grew up in the care of Kaiser Permanente physicians and health care staff. I always felt that our family was well taken care of. My childhood experiences with the Kaiser Permanente health care team prompted me to join Kaiser Permanente after the completion of my residency in emergency medicine.
About my practice
I am now pleased to be providing emergency care to members in the same way that I used to receive care. Let's be honest, no one wants to go to the Emergency Department (ED). Patients go to the ED because they have to go to the ED. I strive to make this difficult experience a positive one. I want patients to know that their concerns become my concerns. I seek to do everything within my ability to address the emergency medical condition that causes my patients to pursue emergency care.
How I thrive
Balance in life is important. While completely committed to my patients at work, I am equally committed to my life away from work. I find tremendous joy in family and friends. I exercise on a regular basis to maintain my own health, feeling that if I am well, I am better able to care for my patients.
