About Me

I am a native Oregonian, born and raised in the Willamette valley. My wife and I have two girls, who are now young adults. We live in the country on a few acres of land. At least once a year we vacation in the south for the warmth and sun during the winter months. I decided on nursing as a carreer after high school, and have been a nurse anesthetist since 1997.

About my practice

I currently provide anesthesia at the Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center campus, rotating between the main Operating Room (OR), outpatient surgery, and labor and delivery. Our anesthesia practice is a team approach, with anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists working closely as colleagues. My practice philosophy is to tailor the best anesthetic for each individual, and treat each patient as a family member.

How I thrive

I thrive by enjoying what I do as a nurse anesthetist. When not in the hospital, I enjoy working on my small farm, spending time with family and friends, enjoying good food and wine, reading, and riding my bicycle.
