About Me

I'm originally from the Midwest but relocated to the Denver area in 1987 to complete my pediatric residency at The Children's Hospital. I knew I wanted to become a doctor since I was 11-years-old, and during medical school I decided pediatrics was a great fit for me. I've been a pediatrician with Kaiser Permanente since 1988 and my home has been at the Westminster Medical Offices. My partner and I have been together for 28 years and we have really enjoyed living in the Denver metro area and now in the foothills. We love the natural beauty of our state and enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, birding, biking, and of course, skiing.

About my practice

I'm committed to providing high-quality, preventive care and acute care in pediatrics. I'm comfortable taking care of patients from newborns to early college-age students. I believe it is important to establish long-term relationships with my patients, and I pride myself on being a good listener by seeking involvement of patients and families in making a care plan. I have particular interests in attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and behavioral pediatrics. I also spend some of my clinical time caring for patients admitted to the hospital.

How I thrive

I thrive by working hard and having good relationships that are supportive at our clinic. I try to exercise regularly as this helps me maintain a good focus when working. Hiking and birding provide me with a close connection to nature. I've always been involved with music my whole life, and currently I'm a member of a small acappella singing group.
