About Me

I was born in Mainland China and immigrated to the United States when I was a teenager. I fell in love with Maui when I was on vacation and decided to stay. I never imagined I would still be here many years later. I always excelled in the sciences and had a love of the intricacies of the human body. For me a medical career was the best option to satisfy both my family, who had high expectations of educational attainment, and my love of science.

About my practice

An accident when I was a junior in college introduced me to the field of podiatry. I stepped on a rusty nail and was referred to a podiatrist for its removal. The care that I received during this incident inspired me to pursue a career podiatry. I love the camaraderie of working closely with other doctors from different specialties at the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group. I especially love the support we give each other. This is unique to an organization like Kaiser Permanente. My philosophy is to take care of my patients like family. Everybody has a personal story that I love to hear. I put my patients at ease and connect with them by asking about their background, family, kids, work, or anything else that they want to talk about. People tell me they feel like they just had a therapy session when they come to see me.

How I thrive

I dance jazz, tap, and hip-hop, and perform on stage twice a year. I also love travel, travel, travel!
