About Me
Welcome to my Web Page! The most important part of my relationship with my patients can be summarized in one word: rapport. I am always mindful of the simple truth that people don't care about how much you know until they know how much you care. Whether you are considering major surgery or wish a consultation for a simple matter, I look forward to meeting you and working with you to care for your health.
Biography
I have a very diverse educational background including multiple bachelor’s degrees in fine arts as well as science, and several doctorate degrees in both dentistry as well as medicine. My surgical residency training included both general surgery as well as oral and maxillofacial surgery. I am also fellowship trained in orthognathic surgery (surgery to correct conditions of the jaw and face) and am board certified. Before joining Kaiser Permanente five years ago, I was on the teaching faculty of The University Of Texas Southwestern Medical Center residency program in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
About my practice
My practice is focused on orthognathic surgery. This surgery is performed to correct facial growth abnormalities and create a normal bite. It has been my experience that state-of-the-art orthognathic surgery is capable of achieving optimal facial cosmetics with ideal bite function, resulting in predictable long-term stability. The remainder of my practice is devoted to treatment of facial trauma, benign tumors, and surgical treatment of temporomandibular disorders.
How I thrive
I thrive by living a balanced lifestyle that includes taking care of my mental and physical self, and spending time and giving attention to the people that I love.
