About Me

I was born and raised in Hood River, Oregon. I attended Whitman College, in Walla Walla, Washington, for my undergraduate education and Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences, in Yakima, Washington, for medical school. I completed my family medicine residency in Anchorage, Alaska, and stayed an extra year as chief resident. I was glad to join the Kaiser Permanente team as a hospitalist when I moved back to Portland with my family.

About my practice

As a physician who takes care of members while they are in the hospital, I strive to make what can be a difficult situation as healing, comfortable, and educational as possible for the patient and their family. By focusing my care on the whole patient, I find it becomes easier to elevate patient well-being.

How I thrive

I thrive by spending time with my family and friends and being outdoors — from hiking to skiing to exploring the city. I had missed all the excellent dining options in Portland while we lived in Alaska and am making a point to eat out as often as possible!
