About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my specialty.

Biography

I was born in Switzerland and spent my childhood in Germany. In 1989 I moved to Boston to complete my high school education, followed by four undergraduate years at Stanford University, and finally medical school and my anesthesiology residency at the University of Washington in Seattle.

About my practice

Anesthesiology is a unique subspecialty. We take care of our patients before, during, and immediately after surgery. Our group places great emphasis on a team approach, and our number one objective is the safety and comfort of our patients. The bulk of my cases include general anesthesia for all age groups, including neonates, as well as obstetric anesthesia.

How I thrive

I believe that in order for me to take care of my patients, I need to take care of myself physically and mentally. When not at work, I enjoy a multitude of physical activities, as well as playing and learning classical Spanish guitar. I also tremendously enjoy traveling and experiencing new places and cultures.
