About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and our members, and look forward to working with you to maintain and even improve your health.

Biography

The practice of medicine is in my blood. My father was a family physician in a small town in the middle of Illinois. I love interacting with people and knew that I wanted to be a family physician from the first day of medical school in St. Louis. I completed my residency training in downtown Chicago, and I taught in the residency program there for five years. After three more years there, I decided to leave the cold winters and join family here in Southern California.

About my practice

I believe that as a primary care physician I am a partner in your health. It is my privilege to share your wellness, illnesses, fears, hopes, dreams, and frustrations. I am lucky to have a wonderful staff who partner with me to provide high-quality health care. As a physician, I believe the most important thing I can do is listen to people and treat each one as if they were my own family.

How I thrive

I love to be active! Exercise is an important part of everyday life. I am a marathon runner, avid golfer, and cyclist, and am looking forward to becoming a surfer. To keep balance I also enjoy yoga and cooking. My family is a very important part of my life and I try to spend as much time with them as possible.
