About Me

I'm a board-certified medical oncologist at Kaiser Permanente’s South Bay Medical Center, and I’m proud to be part of our dedicated hematology/oncology team. I grew up in Southern California and have deep roots in this community, so it’s especially meaningful for me to care for members and families here.

Biography

I’m a native of Southern California.

About my practice

My Cancer Subspecialty

While I treat a range of cancers, my primary focus is thoracic oncology, which includes cancers of the lung and chest area. I work closely with a team of specialists to ensure members receive up-to-date, personalized care. Lung cancer care is evolving quickly, and I’m passionate about helping members navigate their journey with clarity, support, and hope.

National Expertise on Multidisciplinary Teams

I serve on the Southern California Regional Thoracic Oncology Committee, where I help review and analyze new treatments and data. This work allows me to contribute to shaping our National Kaiser Permanente Oncology Care Pathways, which help guide treatments that are based on evidence and current research for patients across the country. I also participate in our regional Thoracic Cancer Tumor Boards, where specialists from different fields collaborate to tailor care plans to each member’s unique case.

Research and Clinical Trials

In addition to clinical care, I’m involved in cancer research through national organizations such as:

  • SWOG
  • NRG Oncology
  • NSABP (National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project)
  • Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology

I serve as a sub-investigator in the National Cancer Institute’s community oncology program. Through this work, I’m able to bring leading-edge clinical trials and innovative therapies to our local members, often giving them access to treatments that aren’t widely available yet.

How I thrive

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and friends. Staying grounded, connected, and present in life helps me show up each day with compassion and purpose for both members and my loved ones.
