About Me
Welcome to my Web page! Here, you will find information about me and my approach to the medical care of your child. I look forward to partnering with you to help them thrive!
Biography
I was born, raised, and attended medical school in New York until moving to Los Angeles in 2007 for my residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Since then, I have held various roles at a variety of pediatric facilities, and this has provided me with a wealth of medical knowledge and experience to draw from. I love all that Los Angeles has to offer, and I plan to continue practicing here for many years to come!
About my practice
My focus is on keeping your child’s health and best interest at heart, by practicing medicine based on evidence and current research, keeping up to date on clinical research, and following the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics. This includes limiting the use of unnecessary medications and testing (but, of course, using them they’re when indicated) and keeping members fully up to date on their vaccinations. However, I also fully support the use of complementary and alternative medicine, provided that it doesn’t exclude standard medical care, is not harmful or overly burdensome, and, ideally, is supported by medical studies. And remember, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
How I thrive
Work-life balance is essential to a productive and satisfying career, and life as a physician is no different. I stay active through running and regular yoga practice, but I also try to participate in activities like hiking, swimming, surfing, climbing, and biking whenever I get a chance. Meditation, reading, movies, music, and travel help to keep me mindful, grateful, and centered, and for a creative output I work on my own writing and metal sculpture.
