About Me

Thank you for visiting my Web page. I welcome this opportunity to share more information about myself with current and future members.

Biography

I’m an Indian-American who grew up in Orange County. In my younger years I was an avid tennis player and competed in many tournaments throughout Southern California. After high school, I attended the six-year accelerated medical program at Penn State’s Jefferson Medical College. I graduated from medical school in 1996, and then completed a one-year internship in internal medicine, a three-year residency in ophthalmology, and a two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery. I returned to Orange County in 2002 to join the Yorba Linda Medical Offices’ Department of Ophthalmology. I’m married and have two little sons.

About my practice

In my practice, I see members with diseases of the retina and vitreous cavity. These include retinal tears, retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular disease, and macular degeneration. The opinions and recommendations I provide to my members are based on how I would counsel a friend, family member, or myself. I perform many procedures including intraocular injections, laser treatments, and intraocular surgeries.

How I thrive

I’m constantly advising members to eat right, exercise regularly, and strive to be healthy. Many of the diseases I see and treat are directly impacted by lifestyle. In order to practice what I preach, I make sure I have time in my schedule to take care of my own health. I regularly engage in activities such as tennis and yoga. My wife and I both enjoy cooking, and we maintain a healthy, balanced diet, which includes lots of fruits and vegetables.
