Welcome to my Web page. I’m glad to have this opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It’s very important that you feel comfortable when you have need for an emergency medicine physician.
I am a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. I chose emergency medicine because it is one of the last areas in medicine where one has the opportunity to take care of a variety of medical problems, emergent and otherwise, depending on who comes in the door. The specialty is on display in a variety of television programs, but I prefer to think of my work as the urban equivalent of an old-fashioned country doctor. I enjoy it very much.
Working for Kaiser Permanente gives me the privilege to be part of one of the largest integrated health care organizations in America. Our electronic health record lets me discuss your health care needs with you, as if I’ve known you for years, even though you have just walked in the Emergency Department door for the first time.
Good health is, to me, based on a simple three-part philosophy. First, you should start your day with some form of exercise you enjoy—a walk, a bike ride, or a trip to the gym, preferably with friends. Second, you should get plenty of sleep. Third, eat small meals throughout the day. And be sure to spend plenty of time with family. That’s what I try to do.
