About Me
I was born and raised on the East Coast and received my medical degree from Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School in 2011. I completed residency training in internal medicine at the University of Colorado Denver in the summer of 2014 and joined the Kaiser Permanente Lakewood Medical Offices shortly thereafter.
About my practice
I am a strong proponent of evidence-based, Western medicine. As a board certified internist, my practice centers on the management of chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma/COPD, coronary artery disease and congestive heart failure, with a particular focus on women’s health. I emphasize preventive care, particularly vaccinations and healthy lifestyle choices. I enjoy taking the time to counsel patients on nutrition, physical activity and smoking cessation, and I truly believe that these interventions can play a significant role in maintaining one’s health and well-being. Additionally, I believe many conditions such as chronic pain, insomnia, chronic fatigue, and anxiety can benefit from a non-pharmacologic approach and encourage the use of physical therapy, acupuncture, massage, yoga and meditation.
How I thrive
I love taking advantage of all of Colorado’s outdoor activities, especially snowboarding in the winter and running and hiking in the summer. When I’m not outdoors, I enjoy reading, practicing yoga and watching hockey. I love to travel and have spent time in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe and South America, and I’m always busy planning my next adventure.
