About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice.

Biography

I was born in a suburb of Detroit, but most of my childhood was spent in the Los Angeles area. I attended UCLA for undergraduate work and medical school. My interest in medicine started as an interest in science. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology at UCLA. After doing research in a UCLA microbiology lab, I realized that I really wanted to work with people and practice clinical medicine. I have a wonderful husband, who is also a physician, as well as three children and three stepchildren. My hobbies include playing the cello, piano, and bass guitar, and playing tennis. I would like to learn more about yoga and integrative medicine.

About my practice

I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1992. I had a full-time practice at Kaiser Permanente Bonita Medical Offices in San Diego until my second child was born in 1999. Since then, I have been working part-time. I work every morning, which enables me to pick up my kids from school and enjoy the afternoon with them. I am proud to work with the fantastic physicians and nurses here. In 2014, I became lead physician of Employee Health Services. I hope to play an integral role in improving the health and wellness of Kaiser Permanente employees.

How I thrive

I have the satisfaction of splitting my time between being a physician and being a mom. I feel my best when I exercise daily, eat well, sleep enough and have positive experiences with my family and friends. I feel happiest when I help others and when I see my children’s smiling faces!
