About Me

Welcome to my Web page. Having surgery can be stressful, and it is very important that you feel comfortable with your surgical team, including your anesthesiologist. I would like to present my credentials and share some information about myself.

Biography

After completing my medical training, including a fellowship in cardiac anesthesia and an advanced clinical-track fellowship, I was an assistant professor in cardiac anesthesia at Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, then decided to move to California. Having come from a prestigious academic program, I was concerned about finding a practice opportunity in California that would allow me to deliver quality care to my patients. I joined Kaiser Permanente Orange County Medical Center in 1990 and found my goals supported in many ways beyond my expectations. I came to the realization that I was working with a inspiring group of physicians who believed in not only providing excellent clinical care, but also going the extra mile to provide compassionate care.

About my practice

The strength of our team lies in coordinating care for our patients from different specialties, making it easy for the patient to go through the surgical phase. The members of the surgical team communicate well with one another to provide a safe environment for the patients to undergo their procedures. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our systems.

How I thrive

My main goals are to keep balance in my life and to understand and help my patients. I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, and spending quality time with my family and pets.
