About Me

I'm glad to have this opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It's very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me. I’m honored to be your neurologist today.

Biography

I spent half my life in India, but moved to the United States for college, medical school, and subsequent training. I spent 11 years in the Washington, DC, and Virginia area, but proudly call Southern California my home today. Before medical school, I did research at the National Institutes of Health but missed the clinical component of delivering care to patients—hence made the transition to medical school. I try to enrich my life by staying active in my children's lives and being thankful for each day.

About my practice

Neurology is a fascinating field. There is so much that is unknown about the complexity of the brain and the nervous system. I make every attempt to diagnose your condition accurately and order appropriate tests to facilitate this. When possible, I offer minimally invasive testing and limit the use of multiple medications. I believe in treating the individual as a whole person, and try to educate you on potential diagnosis, drugs available, and possible side effects.

How I thrive

I believe in yoga and meditation to strike a balance between work and personal life. Chronic stress is a trigger for several medical conditions—so keeping it at bay is essential for optimal functioning. I’m honored you’ve chosen me as your neurologist and look forward to meeting you—if I haven’t already.
