About Me
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I am originally from India and went to medical school in Madras, which is one of the oldest medical schools in India. My training in clinical medicine was amazing and I enjoyed every bit of medical school. I immigrated with my parents to California and initially was doing research at UC Davis. I had the opportunity to compare different types of health care and I felt that Kaiser Permanente provided the most integrated care. My personal philosophy is to treat all patients under my care as if they are family members.
Biography
I am a general surgeon and I joined Kaiser Permanente after I finished my residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center. I am an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery at Loma Linda Medical Center, and a core faculty member of the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center/Kaiser Permanente Surgery Residency program.
About my practice
I am interested in all aspects of general surgery: breast, gallbladder, skin cancers, hernias, colon, pancreas, and abdominal surgery. My special interest is in endocrine surgery—diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid, pancreas and adrenal gland. I am especially interested in minimally invasive techniques in endocrine surgery. I love to teach and I'm involved in teaching medical students from Loma Linda Medical School. Teaching gives me the opportunity to learn newer techniques and keeps me up to date.
How I thrive
I enjoy the great outdoors and love to travel. I am an avid photographer and love landscape photography. I like to hike and bike, and sometimes I even try to golf.
