About Me

Welcome to my Web page, and thank you very much for taking the time to read my profile! I am proud to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente health care system, and it is an honor and privilege to be your partner in health. Being a positive part of my patients' lives is what I love most about my career in medicine.

I was born and raised in the desert town of Ridgecrest, California. I completed my undergraduate studies at University of California - San Diego, where I earned bachelor's degrees in both biology and psychology. Because I knew at an early age that I wanted to be a doctor and spend my life helping people, I felt that I would be most effective as a physician, studying and understanding both body and mind. I moved to the East Coast for medical school and completed my internal medicine residency at St. Michael's Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. It was during this time on the East Coast that I learned to truly appreciate life in California, and happily made sunny San Diego my permanent residence.

About my practice

I am very happy to be part of an outstanding team of physicians and nurses, and to be part of a system with such a large number of resources available to its members. I encourage patients to utilize these resources to the fullest extent. My goal is to empower you to be in control of your health through constant communication and education. I appreciate it when you are proactive in your health, as it helps me take better care of you.

How I thrive

I believe in a healthy, balanced lifestyle with plenty of exercise and laughter. I do my best to practice what I preach, and make sure to meet my physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual needs by enjoying with friends and family the beauty San Diego has to offer. My favorite outdoor hobbies include camping, hiking, and long runs at the beach. I love to try new and exotic foods, and have a passion for cooking.
