About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I joined Kaiser Permanente in January 1998, and I work in the Department of Psychiatry at the Point Loma Medical Offices.

Biography

I moved from New Jersey to California after graduating from medical school. I completed my residency in psychiatry at UC San Diego. After residency, I joined Kaiser Permanente in San Diego.

About my practice

I believe good lifestyle and dietary habits are very important in helping improve mental health. Although medications play a role in treatment, I believe it is important for members to take the initiative and lead a lifestyle that is balanced and conducive to good mental health. This may include eliminating alcohol, incorporating exercise, following good dietary habits, and getting sufficient sleep by improving lifestyle habits. Psychotherapy in addition to medications is also very helpful.

How I thrive

Spending time with my family is how I stay balanced outside of work. I enjoy reading both nonfiction and fiction and engaging in regular exercise. I try to keep up on the latest world and local news.
