About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I hope that the information contained here helps you understand who I am and what I think is important for helping members with their health care.
Biography
I’m a native Southern Californian who grew up as a Kaiser Permanente member. My mother, and my grandparents, originally joined Kaiser Permanente while living in Northern California, then transferred to Southern California when they moved here for work. After attending medical school in Illinois, I returned to Southern California and the Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center for my internship and residency. I’m now at Indian Hill Medical Offices in Claremont. I worked part-time at the clinic (about four days a week) while my children attended and graduated from Claremont schools. I’m still part-time, even though they’ve graduated from college. My daughter is a physical therapist. My son has a degree in computer engineering and is still trying to find his niche. Now, I spend my extra time with my husband and our three cats. I'm hoping to eventually join my daughter in Washington state and play with my grandchildren there.
About my practice
I’ve always liked the Kaiser Permanente emphasis on preventative care—taking active steps like vaccinations and routine screenings to prevent health problems. I also very much enjoy taking care of multiple generations of the same family. It’s fun to talk with the grandparents and then see the grandchildren, or even great-grandchildren, later on.
How I thrive
When I’m not busy taking care of members, I relax by reading, feeding and watching backyard birds, and listening to music. Though I no longer play roller hockey or tour by bicycle, I’m hoping to find another activity I’m passionate about so I can continue to stay healthy. Regardless of what I eventually choose, I know that I want to keep moving.
