About Me
Hi, my name is Dr. Vishal Ranpura. I’m glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It’s very important that you feel comfortable with your physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
Biography
I was born and raised in India. After I completed medical school, I came to the United States to further my education. My father was a great inspiration to me in deciding to become a physician. He died from cancer and inspired me to become an oncologist to help and heal the pain and suffering of cancer patients. I have strong ties in California and spent two years in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving to the East Coast. I completed my internal medicine residency in New York. I then moved to Washington, D.C., for my fellowship in hematology/oncology. While there, I had affiliations with the National Institutes of Health. However, I missed the weather in California. After living in cold weather for several years, it was finally time to come home, and I moved to Southern California.
About my practice
I have two offices, one in Moreno Valley and another in Palm Desert. In each location, I alternate with another doctor. The other larger part of my oncology practice is at Riverside Medical Center, where my colleagues and I work as a team and discuss cases with each other as well as physicians in other specialties.
How I thrive
I thrive by running and doing yoga/meditation every day.
