About Me
I grew up in Corvallis, Oregon and completed my undergraduate degree in English at Yale University. After spending time in Barcelona and New York, I returned to graduate school and earned a Master’s Degree in Maternal-Child Nursing/Nurse-Midwifery at Yale. I worked as a Certified Nurse Midwife in Boston and New Orleans before joining Kaiser Permanente in Portland, Oregon in 1999. I have two wonderful young adult children, a sweet black lab, some rescue cats and three hives of foster bees. I enjoy hiking, reading, gardening, knitting and life in general.
About my practice
I am honored to care for women in all stages of the life cycle, including contraception, routine gynecology, prenatal and intrapartal care, and menopause. I do my best to respect women's personal choices about their care. I have a working knowledge of Spanish and understand a fair amount of Italian, French and Hebrew, and a smattering of Arabic.
How I thrive
I thrive by spending time with my kids when they are in Portland, gardening, knitting, being with my animals, cooking, enjoying Portland's restaurants with my partner, and admiring my neighbors' goats.
