About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I am a family practitioner and have been at Kaiser Permanente for more than 14 years taking care of newborns up to adults of any age. I practice as a physician in the office part-time. The rest of the week, I have the privilege of working as part of the administrative team, striving to help keep Kaiser Permanente a top-quality place for its members and physicians.
Biography
I was born in Redondo Beach and currently live in Valencia with my wife and children. I grew up in a loving family, with sports as a major component in my life. I especially enjoy soccer but will play anything that has competition or is just outdoors. I love camping, too, whether at the beach or in the mountains. I graduated from UC San Diego and then the University of Vermont for medical school. I received my training in family medicine in Scottsdale, Arizona.
About my practice
I feel privileged to be a physician. I chose to practice family medicine because it allows me to take care of entire families, which gives me some insight into the physical and emotional needs of my patients. I believe everyone should have a personal physician who coordinates his or her care. I want my patients to come to me first with their health problems so we can come up with a plan of action to get them on the road to recovery and then use preventive care and medicine based on current research to keep them on that path. I am a believer in moderation and do not think there are many absolutes in life. I try to keep a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere in my practice. And I encourage my patients to use Kasier Permanente.org to email my office to make appointments and ask follow-up questions.
How I thrive
I thrive by making sure my family is my first priority. As much as I enjoy being a doctor, I think I am a better one by just being a normal person who knows how to balance work and life. I stay active with my children, especially with soccer and other sports.
