About Me

I was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. My father was a physician and during my childhood, I witnessed his interactions with his patients. I could not help but notice their strong relationships that were based on trust and respect.

About my practice

I decided to pursue a career in pediatrics because I have always loved kids. Their honesty and intelligence makes me cherish my time with them even more. As part of the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group, I enjoy the focus we place on providing high quality care and service. As the physician-in-charge of our Maui clinics, I am also fortunate to work with a great group of people who continually strive to do what is best for their patients. My philosophy of care is simple; I focus on what is best for my patients. I enjoy interacting with the children I see and try to treat them as adults whenever possible by engaging them in our care discussions.

How I thrive

I enjoy golfing year-round in Hawaii. I also love to cook and to relax with a good novel.
