About Me
Thank you for visiting my Web page! I welcome you to meet us at our pediatric practice at Kaiser Permanente in Baldwin Park. I hope that this Web page gives you an easy way to learn about my practice as a physician who provides medical care to infants, children, and adolescents up to age 18.
Biography
I have worked as a pediatrician for more than 25 years. My decision to become a physician grew out of a strong desire to seek a profession that would allow me to use my skills to help others. I attended college at UC Davis and completed both medical school and pediatric residency training at the Keck School of Medicine (USC). In addition to providing care to members in my daily practice at Kaiser Permanente, I use my expertise as an advocate for childhood health through community service. I currently serve on the advisory board of directors of Foothill Family Service, a local nonprofit organization that provides community-based counseling and mental health treatment for children and their families. I also serve on the board of directors for the West San Gabriel Valley Boys and Girls Club, a wonderful organization that enables all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
About my practice
My pediatric practice is devoted to making sure that our infant, children, and adolescent members receive high-quality health care. We have extensive services to make sure you are able to access care in an efficient and caring manner. I work in both our pediatric clinic and the neonatal intensive care unit in the hospital. In addition to caring for members, I serve as chief of service of the Baldwin Park Department of Pediatrics and as the regional chief of pediatrics. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email my office.
How I thrive
I believe that staying healthy is a daily adventure involving both work and play. I stay active when on vacation with my family, which often includes swimming in the ocean, hiking, skiing, or biking. I frequently ride my bike to work which is a 40 mile round trip from my home. For years, I have participated in numerous organized bicycle rides. In the past five years, I have completed the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Triathlon three times, climbed numerous mountains including Mount Whitney, and have completed more long-distance bike rides than I can count. Hiking and biking are my two ways to get out in the world and live well. My other favorite activities include watching sports of all kinds, spending time with my family (including my wife of more than 35 years and our three children), and staying active outdoors.
