About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I am very happy to introduce myself to you and tell you about my neurology practice. We have a top-notch group of neurologists at Kaiser Permanente. I am pleased to be a part of this group and serve our wonderful members.

Biography

I earned a master's degree in speech pathology and practiced in a hospital in Tucson, Arizona, for more than 10 years. I worked with patients who had suffered strokes and brain injuries. I loved the field but wanted to learn more, so I returned to school to become a neurologist. This field of practice matched my experience perfectly. I graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine and completed my residency at UC San Diego. Since then, San Diego has been my home.

About my practice

I treat adults in my neurology practice, focusing on tumors limited to the central nervous system. This is a specialized field known as neuro-oncology. I also treat many other neurologic conditions such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and seizures. Many people are referred to neurology for a one- or two-visit consultation when their personal physician needs additional information about a condition or treatment. Some patients require ongoing care in neurology if they have been diagnosed with certain conditions. Our neurology nurses and medical assistants are a valuable part of my team and are trained to manage phone calls with my advise for my specialized practice. I much prefer phone calls to e-mail for questions.

How I thrive

I thrive by keeping a balance between work and home. I work a flexible schedule, which gives me time to volunteer in the community on my day off. I enjoy everything San Diego has to offer, including our gorgeous weather, beaches, hiking trails, zoo, wild-animal park, museums, restaurants, as well as theater productions and concerts. I feel extremely fortunate to live in this fabulous city.
