About Me

Welcome to me Web page. I'd like to introduce myself to you and tell you a little about my practice. I look forward to working with you to care for your health.

Biography

I'm a native San Diegan who grew up going to the San Diego Zoo, hanging out at Pacific Beach, and ice-skating at UTC. I went to college at UC San Diego and graduated with a major in biological anthropology. I then went to Chicago Medical School and, after many cold winters, made a beeline back to San Diego for my residency in psychiatry at UC San Diego. While my practice keeps me busy, in my spare time, I like to be with my husband and my kids, and eat chocolate!

About my practice

My goal as a physician is to provide high-quality, comprehensive, compassionate care to our members. I enjoy taking care of people of all ages and backgrounds. At Point Loma Medical Offices Psychiatry Department, we have a wonderful team of nurses, therapists, and psychologists who strive to put you first.

How I thrive

Each and every day I make an honest effort to maintain a healthy mind, body, and outlook on life. I value quality time with my family and friends. I try to exercise, but I'm not very good at it, so I try to do active things with the kids, like kicking around a soccer ball or playing in the pool. We love camping and try to go a few times a year. I'm getting pretty good at cooking over an open campfire—only 50 percent of the food is burned these days!
