About Me
Welcome! Thank you for visiting my Web page. I am thrilled to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente team and look forward to assisting you with your health care needs.
Biography
I was born in Korea and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, when I was 7. I completed all of my education in Utah, then moved to Massachusetts for my residency. Next, I graduated from the UC Davis minimally invasive surgery fellowship. I chose to come to Southern California so I’ll be closer to my parents when they retire. Family is of the utmost importance to me. My parents are the hardest working people I’ve ever known and are a daily source of inspiration.
About my practice
A career in medicine is a very special opportunity to connect with and help people in a meaningful way, utilizing medical skills and knowledge, but also listening and responding to what members need. As a surgeon, it’s a privilege to help members understand what concerns them, get them appropriate evaluations, and provide high-quality surgical care. I feel very honored that members have entrusted me with their care and strive to treat them as I would my own family.
How I thrive
I enjoy tennis and golf. However, I also love to get cozy and read a good novel. One of my favorite things to do is discuss what others are reading and exchange recommendations on books. It’s amazing how much I can learn through these conversations.
