About Me
I am originally from the rural Midwest and came to Colorado for graduate school. During my time here, I have been fortunate to do therapy with people in a variety of settings including working with youth experiencing homelessness, youth with disabilities, in-home family therapy, and crisis work. I find it important to continue to evolve as a therapist, so I am always learning from my patients and trainings.
About my practice
Populations: Adult, Child, Family, Group, Seniors, Teens. Specialties: Anxiety, Bipolar, Depression, Eating Disorders, Grief and Loss, Mood Disorders, OCD, Parenting, Personality Disorders, PTSD, Schizophrenia, Substance Abuse, Transgender, Trauma, and other chronic conditions. Interventions: CBT, DBT, EMDR, and ACT. I love working with teens, families, young adults, and people who identify as LGBT. In session I take an active, strength-based approach. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches and collaborate with my patients to identify and reach their goals. My goal is to provide the most appropriate care for my patients, so they aren't spending extra time or money to get the care they deserve. My passion in life is to serve others, help people heal, and help people live their best lives. I believe you are the expert on you and that you have the innate tools and inner resiliency required to overcome any life stressors, traumas, and mental health challenges that come your way. A good therapeutic relationship provides the foundation for people to create change in their lives. I strive to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment to guide and empower people.
How I thrive
Part of how I thrive is simply spending time with my partner, our two adorable dogs, and friends. I enjoy mountain biking, snowboarding, climbing, and working out. I also love to make things, travel, and learn.
