I was born and raised on Oahu.As a child, I was always impressed by my eye exams. I went into optometry because I liked the idea of being able to give a person glasses or contact lenses to help them see better. I specialize in contact lens fittings.
At the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group, we have the latest in technology and are able to fit our patients with the best lenses available on the market. We work as a team with our Ophthalmology and Optical Departments to provide complete eye care service to our patients. My philosophy of care is to do what is right for my patients’ needs. I enjoy learning about my patients’ backgrounds, and discussing their visual needs for the job, school, home, and recreational activities in which they are involved.I serve as a representative for the Hawaii region on our national Contact Lens Standards and Sourcing Team committee.
To stay fit, I play tennis, bike, swim and hit the gym for aerobics, weight training and Pilates classes. Going on walks with my dogs helps me stay mentally healthy as well. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, playing musical instruments, reading, watching select TV series and going to the movies.
