Welcome to my Web page! It has been a pleasure to serve my members in Orange County for over 28 years in a setting and specialty I truly love. Kaiser Permanente is my home away from home. I have developed strong friendships with my colleagues. My members are diverse and seem happy with their care, and I truly enjoy the practice.

Biography

I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1986, after my medical training. I also earned a master's degree in health policy and management from the UCLA School of Public Health in 1996. I’m currently a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the UC Irvine School of Medicine, and I’m the former director of medical education for Orange County. I’m a recipient of both the Kaiser Permanente Exceptional Contribution Award and the Orange County Medical Association Physicians of Excellence Award. My wife was an obstetrics and gynecology nurse practitioner for Kaiser Permanente, and is now a community leader on special education and mental health services. We have four sons.

About my practice

I practice both obstetrics and gynecology at the Kraemer Anaheim Medical Offices, Santa Ana Medical Offices, and Alton/Sand Canyon Medical Offices, with special expertise in laparoscopic surgery. I’m the director of colposcopic services for Kaiser Permanente in Orange County, and I’ve been invited as a national expert to serve on the Practice Guideline Committee of the American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. I’m a regional consultant on Pap smear management as well as vulvar pain syndrome and conditions.

How I thrive

In my spare time, I enjoy playing team sports—especially roller hockey. My wife and I, along with one of our sons, were part of a competitive clogging dance team called "Final Destination" based in Brea, California. My other interests include working out at the gym, writing, swimming, golf, computers, and technology. I’m a multi-patented inventor and really enjoy finding new ways to do things—especially in medicine. I have volunteered my medical service in the United States as well as in several Asian countries and Mexico. More recently, I performed volunteer work for the mental health community in Southern California.
