About Me

I am a board-certified reconstructive urologist. My practice focuses on reconstruction of the lower urinary tract in members of all genders. I focus on functional urinary continence, neuro-urology, prosthetic urology, and gender affirmation surgery. As an LGBTQ ally, I am passionate about improving the health care of this community.

Biography

I was born in Latvia, a small country on the Baltic Sea. After high school, I came to the United States seeking refuge and the opportunity to get an education. I did my undergraduate studies at UCLA and medical training at USC. I chose to specialize in urology because it deals with issues that affect people’s quality of life and daily living.

About my practice

I really enjoy getting to know members and listening to their stories. Although I am a specialist, I like to understand the whole person and integrate my therapy with the overall well-being of every member. Together with our voiding dysfunction team, I work with members to offer the treatment options best for their needs.

How I thrive

I firmly believe in Kaiser Permanente’s philosophy of health in mind, body, and spirit, and I try to live it in my life every day. I stay fit by running, paddle boarding, and skiing. Family life is my top priority. I am actively involved with my daughter’s diving team and son’s math club. My husband, 2 children and I enjoy hiking the trails of Franklin Canyon and swimming in the ocean during the summer months.
