About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
Biography
I grew up in Northern California and moved to Southern California for medical school and residency training. I have lived in Southern California since 1991. I am married and have a dog. I have been at Kaiser Permanente since 1999. I was the physician in charge at Glendale Medical Offices for 6+ years, became chief of family medicine in 2012, and became assistant area medical director in 2017 for adult primary care. Although I have no physicians in my family, I was greatly influenced to pursue a career in medicine by the excellent, caring pediatrician I had as a child.
About my practice
I practice family medicine, caring for adolescents and adults and performing basic procedures such as some skin procedures and joint injections. I work with a team of physicians and staff in my group. I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, but I am also here to help you when you are sick. I think of health care as a partnership. It helps me better care for you and your loved ones when you take an active role in your and your family's care.
How I thrive
I believe having a positive attitude, getting exercise, and maintaining balance in my life help me stay well. I enjoy hiking, walking my dog, and traveling (I have visited more than 20 countries). I also enjoy baseball and spending time with friends and family.
