About Me

Welcome. I work in the Anesthesiology Department at Kaiser Permanente’s West Los Angeles Medical Center, and I strive to provide you with a supportive, safe, and compassionate environment. My goal is to partner with you during your surgery experience.

Biography

I was born and raised in a small town in the Southern California desert. I was fortunate to have a wonderful family practitioner who cared for my family during my early years. I entered the medical field wanting to emulate the compassion and care that this physician exhibited. When I was an intern, I chose to practice anesthesiology. While working in an intensive care unit, I developed a passion for critical care, physiology, and pharmacology. My family includes my wife and three wonderful little girls. We enjoy UCLA football games, hiking, kids sporting events and music rehearsals, and traveling. In addition, we lead the academic decathlon at our kids’ school.

About my practice

I work with a talented and committed group of anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists. I brought 10 years of experience in private practice with me when I joined Kaiser Permanente. Before private practice, I practiced academic medicine at UCLA. I am a strong advocate of lifelong learning. I believe it is my responsibility to bring current knowledge and techniques to improve the care for my patients.

How I thrive

I try to stay well by maintaining balance in my life and enjoying things in moderation. We are all busy, and it is hard to find time for everything. I believe small changes in diet and lifestyle bring great rewards.
