About Me
I am a family medicine physician at the Skyline Medical Office. I am a Colorado native with a broad range of experience practicing in rural and urban settings during my medical career. I have had the privilege of providing care for people in a variety of setting; from a medical mission to Nepal to homeless clinics in Colorado. I really enjoy the urban setting of our Skyline Medical Office and the ability to meet people from all over the world.
About my practice
I enjoy helping people learn the importance of diet, lifestyle and psychological health as tools to achieve optimal health. I believe physicians and patients work in partnership to reach common goals regarding health and wellness. I listen and seek to understand my patients’ questions and concerns, and I review their electronic medical records to see the big picture of their health. I work as a team with our specialists, pharmacists and others to coordinate my patients’ care. I am interested in mindfulness and teach a mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) course through our Centers for Complementary Medicine.
How I thrive
I live in the Denver area with my family and enjoy cycling and skiing. I also appreciate international travel and recently had the opportunity to provide care to people in rural Nepal.
