About Me
Welcome to my Web page and to the Department of Family Medicine at the Woodland Hills Medical Offices.
Biography
I'm a local boy—raised in North Hollywood and Sherman Oaks. I attended Van Nuys High School, UC San Diego, and UCLA School of Medicine (class of 1979). I did my internal medicine residency at the UCLA-Wadsworth VA Medical Center, and my pediatric residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. I also completed a pharmacology fellowship at UCLA. Afterwards, I joined the Department of Family Medicine here at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center, and now have over 30 years of experience as an attending physician here. I received my master's degree in physics at Cal State Northridge in 2008, then did coursework at UCLA in quantum field theory and particle theory.
About my practice
I have board-certification in internal medicine, geriatrics, and pediatrics. My nurse will welcome you at your visits, take your vital signs, go over your medicine list, and ask you about allergies, smoking, and anything else you feel is pertinent. I’m available for Monday evening clinics most weeks, and I work urgent care shifts many weekends and some weeknights.
How I thrive
I’m easily bored, so I do serial, long-term projects outside my job. I started out getting a stockbroker's license and then got a real estate license. After that, I took flying lessons and got my commercial, multi-engine, instrument pilot's license about 26 years ago. I study astronomy. I do case investigating for fun.
